Natalie is Reading

Natalie has been reading more and more lately.  I am very proud of my little 6 year old.  She is doing very well in her math also.  She absolutely Loves art!  She cant get enough.

Joshua is moving right along in his Math class.  He knows more than me sometimes.  His handwriting puts me to shame with my own.  Some days he needs alot of one on one attention but, he is trying his best to get more independent with his studies.  Im amazed at his piano lessons.  He reads music very well, better than me.  He just needs to slow down for practice time and make sure the song has good timing.

Sports are coming up again, we just finished up soccer for Joshua.  Natalie will be enrolled in her first sport.  She is very excited.  I hope this will work out okay with a baby on the way soon, Joshua and his sports, school, work, and LIFE.  God make it all work smoothly.  We are excited over the holidays coming up but, will miss family members.  Christmas will be simple this year but, I really want to take a short family trip before James gets here.  The Grand Canyon is on the list but, we will have to pray about that working out.  So many things have been happening lately to keep us super busy.  God has been helping us a bunch.  With everything going on, I just want to keep focused on all He does for us.  We have been learning so much from the Bible and the kids have earned their badges for Revival Month!  They were so proud of them.  They listened to all the sermons and passed every quiz!  GOOD JOB TO MY WONDERFUL STUDENTS!

Dont Forget History and Science!

Joshua created his 3d version of Jamestown.  We read the history on how it all came about and what all the people had to endure.

Joshua has been learning about the skeletal system.  Right now he has learned the bones.  We found this free printout online to put together the bones and the sheet to tell us the names of them for study.  He played a really fun online game and named them all correctly, and was scored DOCTOR.  He is Doctor Joshua.  haha.

Natalie found some fun things to do in Science also.  She is learning the temperatures and the food pyramid.  Good Job Natalie!

Spelling Class

NATALIE SPELLING

HE CAN SPELL IT, NOW SHOW THE MEANING OF IT!  HAHA.
In spelling class I was noticing that my son and daughter were bored with writing their words and saying them orally to learn them.  Their tests weren't getting very good grades.  So, we started a new exciting method.  We have puzzle piece paper labeled for putting together to form the word and we also got out the old scrabble game to use the letters.  They are now BUILDing their words.  It really makes a difference.  Now I can get them to write them, say them orally, type them and do fun games on the computer, and building the word makes a more hands on approach.  This is working wonderfully.

Geronimo!

This would be all that you would have for a tub, it was kind of like a  fountain in the kitchen.

so glad I don't have to cook off of this thing!

This was a wreath made from hair, women used to save their hair and do this for art for the walls.  I like paintings.
