Ideas for Homeschool

The class turtle....Green Bean!

Joshua in Science class...drawing EYES...Making the pupil, Iris...We took a flashlight and watched how our eyes work with light.  Then we took a pen in one hand and the lid in the other hand and watched Joshua try and put the lid on the pin with only one eyeball opened.haha.This is a great Math Game I found!  Good for  getting   fast at subtracting and Adding!
This is a little book for Natalie and Joshua both to work in.  It has all the different shapes and you put them together on the page to make the shape of a thing!  Natalie LOVES working in this shape book while I am teaching Joshua.
Joshua solves the problems and Natalie finds the numbers.  Being a team and learning at their OWN level is always fun.  :)This is one of Natalie's favorite things to do.  You have letters to put on the top in order and little pockets in the bottom half for pics with the names on the back for spelling.Great for learning to read, learning letters, and finding out about vowels! This is a YAK.  "yakkiti yak dont talk back" LOL. sorry....I have to humor myself anyway I can, being at home everyday.  =P

Nice book! I keep forgetting to get a tangram book, even though I have about 2 jars of tangrams! I LOVE your whiteboards, too! Are they 3 separate boards, or just 1 with the frame like that?

Jenny....I got the white boards at target. They had a sale and they were only 14 dollars apiece. I really wanted one large board or chalkboard but, this was soooo much cheaper..and it works great!

Well, I think they're really nice! Another option is to get "shower board" at Home Depot/Lowe's and cut it to size. You don't have a frame (unless you make one), but you get a huge piece for around $20 =)

Great idea! I will have to check it out. Hey...on PBS.com they have tangrams that are a challenge for older kids to put together...look on cyberchase! you can also print the outlines right off the computer if you already have the shapes! Great for learning the basics of sketching because they can figure out the shape of the object in their head to put it to paper.
